KARACHI - The Chinese pirated copies of branded cell phones hit the market this time with copy of BlackBerry with the name of BlueBerry, the Nation has learnt.
It is observed that the sale of Chinese pirated copies of branded cell phones still go uncheck despite the fact that the copyrights checking authority has been given under the authority of FIA.
It is also noteworthy that the copies of even those mobiles phones are available which have not been announced by the branded copies such as the copy of Nokia’s 6303 which is not yet launched by the Nokia, while Nokia N97, similar to i-fone, is available in Chinese model which is not available with Nokia.
The other copies of branded mobile phones include i-fone mini, HTC Diamond, Apple, Armani Samsung, LG Viewty are available having special features, which are not available in branded versions, like double-sim, 1.23 mega pixel camera, flash light, torch light, full touch screen. It is interesting to note that such cell phones’ batteries, headphones, chargers, memory cards of 1Gp and other internal accessories are replaced with Nokia’s parts.
The copy of Nokia’s LC6 has function of Urdu Language which is rare to be found in such mobiles, while the Chinese models S1000 catches TV channels and N568 has TV out put.
The copies of companies include big names such as Nokia, Samsung, LG, Apple, while the Chinese companies are Sigma Tech, G five, Sigmatel, MFU, Nktel, and others.
All such mobiles are cheap and rank from Rs 4,000 to 9,000 besides this i-pod is available in Rs 2,000. The demand of China-made cell phones has been increasing among the low-income people day-by-day and the best justification is that they are cheap which ranges from Rs 3,000 to 8,000 for example Nokia 6300 is of Rs 10,800 while its copy with dual sim is available in just Rs 4,000.
Besides completely assembled, or made, copies of branded cell phones are also available but only first copy comes to Pakistan and second and third copy is usually sent to Afghanistan or other regions. The first copy of any branded cell phone is very similar to the original due to its quality finishing. The household name of Chinese cell phones are Nktel series A200, A2000, A300 which have been demanded by the customer and among the reasons of their popularity are double sim, memory card, repairable and less-problematic.
