50pc Gwadar Port’s income for Balochistan demanded

QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Population Welfare Muhammad Khan Tor Utmankhel has demanded of the federal government to give 50 per cent income of the Gwadar Port to Balochistan.

ìThe provincial government will take nationalists into confidence if the federal government gives 50 per cent share in the income of the port to Balochistan ,î he said while talking to journalists here on Thursday.

The minister said the provincial cabinet had already decided to provide maximum benefits to the local people in Gwadar, and not to issue domicile and national identity cards as well as not to give rights of franchise to outsiders, who started to dwell in Gwadar after the port became functional. He said if the federal government met these demands, the provincial government would end grievances of nationalists.
