LDA DG orders quick completion of projects
LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Deputy General Shahid Mehmood has directed LDA officials to work hard and take all possible steps to redress peoples’ grievances and provide them relief.
He was speaking at a briefing given to him by the LDA, the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and the Traffic Engineering Police Agency (TEPA) officials at the LDA Plaza on Monday.
He asked them to eliminate laxity and delaying tactics, warning that if any citizen were to come to him with a complaint, he would consider that the officials concerned were not performing their duties satisfactorily and that they should work more efficiently.
He directed for the completion of different projects initiated by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif within a stipulated period, adding that work on the Shalimar Link Road flyover and underpass, the Bhogiwal road and the Mad-e-Millat Road should be completed as per the stated timeframe.
He said the officials concerned should install camps at the site of projects so that their timely completion as per specifications could be ensured. He said that the Frontier Works Organisation is executing these projects according to international standards.
He also directed the completion of the reconstruction process of the remaining roads during the current fiscal year to ensure proper provision of facilities to people. app
