ISLAMABAD: The capital police sent 55 personnel on forced retirement from January 1 to September 17 this year for corruption and dereliction of duty.
Of them, 53 were constables and two hawaldar, police officials said on Thursday.
The officials said two sub-inspectors, six assistant sub-inspectors and 17 constables were also demoted during the same period.
They also said that police blocked annual promotion of three SIs, six ASIs, two hawaldars and 45 constables on various grounds, while show cause notices were issued to four SIs, 85 constables and four hawaldars from January 1 to September 16. online
