Islamabad: Only 21 per cent of Pakistanis said they have a recreational park near their house, whereas the majority (79 per cent) claimed to have no such facility, revealed the findings of a survey.
Conducted by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the survey results show that majority (42 per cent) amongst those, who do have a park near their residence, claimed to be regular park visitors.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from all areas of Pakistan were asked, “Do you have any recreational park near your house?”
A significantly higher percentage of urbanites (42 per cent) as compared to their counterparts in rural areas (10 per cent) said they have a park near their house.
