The Directorate of Health Services of Capital Development Authority (CDA) has established allergy centers in different sectors of the Capital to deal with the approaching threat of pollen allergy.

The threat of pollen allergy amplified in the months of March and April, the blooming season of Paper Mulberry trees, which mainly cause the disease.

The Directorate of Health Service provided Nebulizers, Oxygen Cylinder and Medicines (required) for allergy treatment in the centres.

An Information Centre for general public has also been established in the Directorate of Health Services where Health Officer of this Directorate would provide information about the precautions, treatment and prevention of pollen allergy.

The directorate has requested all major hospitals of Islamabad including Capital Hospital,

PIMS, Polyclinic Hospital, PAF Hospital, PNS Hafeez, Hospital, NESCOM Hospital, KRL Hospital, National Institute of Handicap, Shifa International Hospital and Social Security Hospital to set up allergy information centres to provide treatment and awareness to general public about this disease.

Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Senior Director Health said that by creating public awareness about the pollen allergy the human suffering could be reduced.

He said that Director of Health Services has established allergy centres in different sectors of Islamabad and necessary equipment has been provided to combat the threat.
