Shujaat urges sacked CJP to endorse Justice Ramday’s stance
ISLAMABAD: The country’s judicial crises can be solved if sacked chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry endorses Justice Khalil Ramday’s stance, Pakistan Muslim League–Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Sunday.
During an interview on Saturday, Ramday said he did not mind not being reinstated as a Supreme Court judge if the government declared the actions of November 3, 2007 unconstitutional and invalid. A PML-Q press release said Shujaat stressed the country could not afford any crisis in the current situation.
Urging all leaders to play their role to resolve the current crises, Shujaat said egos should not hamper reconciliation efforts. app
