Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road Project Set to Open in January

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road project is expected to open by the end of this month, as reported on January 16.

Accompanied by the cabinet, CM Naqvi conducted a comprehensive tour of Gujranwala, inaugurating key projects and assessing the progress of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road. According to the news source, the Link Road is scheduled to be open for traffic by January 31.

During the tour, CM Naqvi inaugurated 37 police stations and five additional projects. A significant development was the initiation of a flyover at 'Chan da Qila,' aimed at seamlessly connecting the Expressway with GT Road. To ensure the success of this vital component, the chief minister formed a committee responsible for finalizing the design of the 'Chan Da Qila' Flyover.

In addition to inaugurating the upgraded People’s Colony Police Station in Gujranwala, CM Mohsin Naqvi also marked the opening of Punjab’s third Business Facilitation Centre, Squash Academy, and Gujranwala Gymkhana. These additions contribute to the region's growing array of facilities.

The official launch of the 17-kilometer-long Wazirabad-Sialkot Kashmir Road and the Gujranwala-Pasrur Road Section Expressway projects further enhances the overall development of the area.

Moreover, during the visit, CM Naqvi inspected six development projects in the city, including the Shahdara flyover project, where landscaping, drainage, and roadwork have achieved a 100% completion rate.
