PDWP Approves Three Lahore Development Projects with a Total Cost of PKR 7561.473 Million


Lahore: The Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved three significant development initiatives in Lahore, with a combined estimated cost of PKR 7561.473 million. This decision was reported in a leading newspaper on January 3, following a meeting chaired by Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, the Chairman of the Planning & Development (P&D) Board, and attended by Muzaffar Khan Sial, the Secretary of the P&D Board.

The approved schemes include:

  1. Construction of a Signal-Free Corridor from Karim Market to Motorway (M-2) Phase-I, with an estimated cost of PKR 2975.034 million.
  2. Construction of a Flyover and Underpass at Ghahri Shahu Chowk to address traffic congestion issues, at PKR 3951.469 million.
  3. Conservation and Upgradation of Shrines and Mosques in Uch Sharif, along with the development of the Pilgrim Trail, approved at PKR 635 million.
