PITB's 'Destak App' to Facilitate LDA Services at Citizens' Doorsteps

Lahore: In a development reported on October 15, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is in the process of developing a mobile application named the 'Dastak App' to provide specific services directly to the residences of citizens. This endeavor is being carried out in collaboration with the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

The meeting, chaired by LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa on a Saturday, addressed the creation of the 'Dastak App.' Notable attendees at this meeting included PITB Chairman Faisal Yousuf, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider, Additional Commissioner Abdul Salam Arif, Additional DG Housing Awais Mushtaq, Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali, and Chief Town Planner Sidara Tabassum.

The conference also featured a presentation on the 'Dastak App' and a discussion of the progress in digitizing LDA's operations. Certain civic services, such as birth certificates, death certificates, and B-form certificates, will soon be accessible to citizens in the comfort of their homes through the 'Dastak App.'

The LDA Director General addressed the gathering and emphasized that residents can now access LDA-related services without needing to leave their homes. Notably, citizens aged 75 and above will benefit from free document delivery at their doorsteps. He also highlighted the ease with which information and services related to LDA can be accessed through this smartphone application.
