ISLAMABAD, May 15: The Aabpara police have booked officials of the Capital Development Authority for assisting a man in cheating the genuine owner of a land, police said on Wednesday.

They said the case was registered in response to a complaint lodged by Rabia Arif, who stated that a man, in connivance with CDA officials, got her father’s plot transferred in the name of her paternal aunt.

The police said the victim’s father had land in Sari Siral Village, and the CDA had provided two plots, measuring five Marlas, to her father against the land in the village after it was acquired by the municipal authority.

She said at the time, both plots were transferred in the name of her father, but recently, she came to know that one of the lands had been registered in her aunt’s name.

On inquiry, it was revealed that the man who had played a role in transferring the land, had transferred it to the victim’s aunt in connivance with CDA officials, the police said. In response, she had lodged a complaint against the accused and the police registered a case on charges of PPC 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery) and 471 (using a forged document as genuine).
