Teachers demand housing scheme in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Teachers have demanded introduction of housing scheme in federal capital.
Housing schemes for the army, CDA, Media and other departments have been established in the federal capital but teachers which is already neglected persons in the society stand deprived of this facility, said a group of teachers.
We are from low income groups of the society and even our allowances are not equal to the employees of other departments. Within our meager income we can not purchase a plot even after retirement, said Anwar Ali, a teacher.
We are builders of nation but no housing society has been built for builders, how pitiful is it, said Inayat Hussain, a teacher.
Teachers associations appealed to the president and prime minister to announce housing scheme for them.
