Zardari appoints Bhagwandas as FPSC chairman

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Justice ® Rana Bhagwandas the new chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). The newly appointed FPSC chairman called on the president on Wednesday night. The president felicitated Bhagwandas on his appointment as the new chairman. The FPSC is appointed at the discretion of the president of the country under Article 242 (1)(a) of the Constitution. The post of the chairman of FPSC had been vacant since the retirement of former chairman Lt Gen Shahid Hamid, eight months ago. zulfiqar ghuman
