Pakistan and the UAE Strengthen Ties with Multi-Billion-Dollar MoUs

Islamabad: Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar participated in the signing of the multi-billion-dollar Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to enhance bilateral strategic cooperation. This information was reported by a news source on November 28.

According to the news source, the two leaders signed several MoUs, recognizing the enduring fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE. These agreements, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), encompass cooperation in various sectors, including energy, port operations projects, wastewater treatment, food security, logistics, minerals, and banking and financial services.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan's wholehearted support for the UAE's Presidency for COP 28. Underscoring its significance, he highlighted the opportunity it presents for substantial progress in crucial areas, particularly in addressing the impacts of climate change, including the establishment of the Loss and Damage Fund.
