LDA officials warned of action

LAHORE - Lahore Development Authority Director General Ahad Cheema has warned that in case of any unlawful change and alteration in the existing structure of a building or conversion of its land use without prior approval of the competent authority, the Deputy Director and Assistant Director concerned of the Town Planning Wing or Commercialisation, will be held responsible and accountable.

The Director Town Planning or Commercialisation, concerned, being in-charge of the relevant Directorate and Chief Town Planner, being overall in-charge of the Town Planning Wing will also ensure and supervise the strict enforcement of Building Control and the Building Use Laws/ Rules and Commercialization Policy in all the LDA housing schemes, approved private schemes and controlled areas of the Authority. The DG passed on these instructions in pursuance of ‘Land use Survey’ recently conducted by the Town Planning Wing in different LDA controlled schemes and areas in order to ascertain the ground realities regarding the stage of construction, use of building etc.

Seminar: A seminar for formulating recommendations to revise and update the existing Master Plan for Lahore 2021 will be held on May 12 at 10 am at LDA Community Centre, 239-A New Muslim Town.

Elected representatives, high-ranking civil officers, urban planners, architects and experts from various walks of life will attend the seminar. The City District Government and LDA intend to revise and update the existing Master Plan for Lahore 2021 in view of the changing scenarios, increasing requirements of the people and other factors.

Auction of 3 petrol pumps on May 28: Open auction of three petrol pump site, situated in Gulberg and Johar Town, will be held on May 28 at 10 am at LDA Community Centre, 239-A New Muslim Town.

Meanwhile, LDA DG Ahad Cheema has entrusted the additional charge of the post of Director Vice Chairman’s (HQ) to Jamshed Siddique, Director (Inspection and Evaluation), LDA.
