Bridge over Sihala railway crossing demanded

ISLAMABAD - Lack of overhead bridge over Sihala railway crossing has added to the miseries of the citizens.

Kahuta Road is the most crowded road which is the only way to travel to Kahuta, Azad Pattan, Kotli and Rawlakot. One railway track crosses over the road at Sihala where a crossing has been built by the railway department. This crossing is shut down hours before the arrival of train which results into terrible traffic jams. The wagons, buses and other vehicles have to queue up there for hours. There are sick and ailing persons in the public transport and unjust closure of crossing aggravates their agony. “We are students and we are taking examination but we often reach late in examination hall due to unjust and prolonged closure of this crossing. We have missed one paper due to this irregular closure of the crossing, said a group of students. The citizens demanded construction of overhead bridge immediately so that they could get rid of perpetual nuisance.
