Feasibility report of parking area at Liaquat Road

Rawalpindi—On the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has started preparing feasibility report of parking area over nullah at Liaquat Road.

Owing to increasing traffic on the roads, MNA Malik Shakeel Awan wrote a letter to CM Punjab a month back for the construction of parking area over nullah at Liaquat Road which would accommodate about 500 vehicles.

The letter further informed that despite construction of Fawara Chowk parking plaza a large number of vehicles are being parked at College Road which contributes to traffic mess.

Sources said that the Punjab chief minister has directed RDA via commissioner Rawalpindi division to prepare feasibility report and director engineering RDA has been given the task.
