Karachi—Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Muhammad Hussain Syed on Sunday said that KMC has started beautification of Safari Park and acquiring more animals so as to attract more visitors. The Administrator was speaking after also laid down the foundation stone of construction of the “Hathi Ghar” at the cost of Rs 20 million, said a statement.

Muhammad Hussian Syed said there is a need to pay special attention to Safari Park so as to develop it at par with other Safari Parks in the world. Briefing the Administrator, Senior Director Culture and Sports, Muhammad Rehan Khan said the Hathi Ghar is being constructed at 65000 square feet.

The construction of Hathi Ghar includes rest area, water-pool and 2800 square feet sheds would be completed within 120 days, he added. He said a children library is also being con-structed at Safari Park to provide information about animals.
