Mukhtar urges deployment of US troops at Pak-Afghan border

WASHINGTON: Defense Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has called for US troops’ deployment at Pak-Afghan border to block human and arms transportation through the route, Geo News reported.

“Cost of Cobra helicopters and F-16 fighter jets have gone too expensive to be under affordability of Pakistan government”, he said.

During the final meeting of 3rd round of Pak-US strategic dialogue here in Washington, minister said owing to rapid surge in war on terrorism, on one hand, Pakistan army has been fast spending its potential and on the other hand, mounting troops from different countries in this region, has multiplied concerns of Pakistan.

He urged upon US administration to respect Pakistan boundaries in future.
