PTA seminar on '3G technology' on August 2

To sensitise stakeholders on the importance of 3G technology, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is organising a seminar "Demand for 3G and Beyond" in collaboration with HUAWEI on August 2 (tomorrow) in Karachi. Secretary IT, Naguibullah Malik would be the chief guest on the occasion, while IT & telecom industry experts, CEOs of telecom companies, representatives of chamber of commerce and media men would also attend the event.

The seminar would highlight various aspects of 3G Mobile Broadband services and its spectrum auctions in Pakistan. Speakers of national and international fame will focus on the benefits of 3G to: businesses, education, government, national economy, urban/rural populace, indigenous software houses and local contents development besides highlighting importance of the high-speed infrastructure.-
