Production of new Corolla model begins

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced the start of production of the New Generation Toyota Corolla, which is to be soon launched in the Pakistani market.

The announcement was made during the recent visit of Dr K Ina, Senior Managing Director, Toyota Motor Corporation, who was in Pakistan to review the IMC production plant and the on-going projects of the company.

During the visit, Dr Ina inaugurated the Line - Off Ceremony that marks the start of production of New Generation Corolla in Pakistan, to be launched towards the end of August. Toyota Motor Corporation has recently increased its equity in IMC from 12.5% to 25%. During his visit, Dr Ina inaugurated the 2000-tonne in-house Hydraulic Press for production of body parts for the new corolla. staff report
