ISLAMABAD: Chairman PTA Dr Mohammed Yaseen on Thursday claimed that the new system of ‘Activation of SIMs After Verification’ was going on successfully. Yaseen expressed these views during a meeting here today with CEOs of all mobile companies. He said that the PTA was constantly monitoring the new regime throughout the country. It was observed that system performance was more than satisfactory and whatever problems faced in the initial stages had been sorted out. The PTA chief informed the CEOs that PTA had also compared the sales of SIMs of February 2008 with that of February 2009 after launching of the new regime. staff report
