Lahore: LDA officials directed to dispose of all cases by end of month - Naveed Yaseen - 02-15-2009 12:30 PM

DIRECTOR General Lahore Development Authority Shahid Mahmood has directed the officials concerned for disposing of all the cases, which are pending so far with the One Window Operation, by the end of this month.

He issued these instructions while chairing a coordination meeting of the LDA officers on Saturday. Additional Director Generals Ahmad Ghazali and Ali Jan Khan besides heads of all the directorates of LDA and others attended the meeting.

Director General PHA also directed further for improving the functioning of LDA’s Complaints Cell for ensuring prompt disposal of applications being received there. He directed for apprising the applicants at once about the requirements to be fulfilled by them instead of causing inconvenience to the people by raising trivial objections to their requests time and again.

“Applications received at the One Window Operation must be thoroughly scrutinized and applicants should be informed about the documents and dues to be deposited along with these applications at once”, he advised. He further directed for fixing timeframe for disposing of different types of applications and urged the officers to strictly adhere to the given deadlines.

Shahid Mahmood underlined the need for improving public image of the Lahore Development Authority and commanded the officers for adopting a civic friendly attitude. He urged them for keeping a vigilant eye on the performance of their subordinate staff besides taking stern disciplinary action against the officials guilty of negligence.
