LDA sets up cell to remove plots’ transfer impediments
LAHORE – Lahore Development Authority Director General Ahad Khan Cheema has established a ‘Verification Cell’ for removing impediments and simplifying the procedure for transfer of plots of Johar Town Scheme in minimum possible time.
Supervised by the Director Land Development–One Muhammad Imran Raza Abbasi, the Cell would comprise of Deputy Director (Exemption) DLD-I, Assistant Director (Exemption) DLD-I, Assistant Director TP Wing, Assistant Director Revenue, Estate Officer MA Johar Town, Assistant Director IT, Assistant Director (Award/ Ownership) DLA, Naib Tehsildar/ Qannongo Exemption and Patwari Exemption.
As many as eight types of reports would be taken on every property file including Award/ Ownership Report as per Award, Possession Proceedings Report by AD Award, Double/ Excess Exemption Report, Accounts Verification Report, Town Planning Report regarding Building Period or Completion Certificate and Site Report, Estate Officer’s Report regarding Possession Register/ site Report and Allocation/ Balloting/ Scanning Report by AD IT.
After a property file will be reported upon by all respective wings and no negative observation recorded by any directorate/ wing; a Clearance Certificate would be issued and placed in that file. Every Clearance Certificate would have a unique identity number and would be printed on Security Featured Papers. All subsequent transactions on the properties of these file would not require any further reports except the deposit of necessary fee; the challan for which would be issued by the Assistant Director Revenue at the One Window Cell at the time of application.
Transfers and postings: On the directives of LDA DG Ahad Khan Cheema, Murtaza Hassan, Assistant Director (Finance/ Revenue) WASA, Zubia Ashraf Assistant Director (Town Planning) working in the Town Planning Wing of LDA and Reema Aftab, Assistant Director (General Cadre) have been transferred and posted in the Verification Cell. Sajjad Ahmad Qureshi, Land Acquisition Collector-I, LDA will also work in the Verification Cell.
Further, Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema has ordered transfer of Muhammad Shoaib, Deputy Director (Town Planning) and Farhan Abbas, Assistant Director (Town Planning) working the Metropolitan Planning Wing of LDA and placed their services at the disposal of Project Manager, Strategic Policy Unit, LDA. Tousif Ahmad, Assistant Director (Finance/ revenue) WASA has also been transferred and his services have been placed at the disposal of Director Finance, LDA for further adjustment.
Meanwhile Additional Director General (HQ) Lahore Development Authority Mariam Kayani has placed the services of Muhammad Arif, Assistant Director (Engineering) at the disposal of Chief Engineer U.D. Wing, LDA.
Moreover, open auction of 24 commercial plots of Johar Town and Mustafa Town and 18 residential plots of Jubilee Town and Nawab Town Housing Schemes was on Thursday by the Lahore Development Authority at LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town.
