ISLAMABAD, Nov 21 (APP): State Minister for Housing and Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim on Thursday showed concern over the delayed development work in sectors G-13 and G-14, causing inconvenience for the allottees. In a meeting with allottees of the sectors, the Minister assured resolution of their problem at the earliest and completion of incomplete work in different areas will be expedited. Usman Ibrahim agreed that residents are facing grave issues due to hindrances in development and maintenance work of these sectors.

The allottees told the minister that residents of G-13 are facing acute shortage of water, piles of garbage are everywhere, installation of street lights is still pending while roads need to be properly repaired.
There is dire need of sewerage treatment plant, water filtration plant and a lot of other development work is still not accomplished, they said.
The Minister directed the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF), Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Resident Welfare Society, G-13 to constitute a committee consisting three members from each.
The committee will meet and discuss all the issues and will identify the nature of every problem whether it comes under CDA control or FGEHF.
Barrister Usman also directed the concerned officials to reconcile the entire previous fund which had been given to CDA for development work and if there is any shortfall, FGEHF will be liable to compensate it.
The Minister further directed that if CDA does not commit to fulfill any task, it can be out-sourced because residents would not be held at stake.
He assured the allottees that all their complaints regarding the development and maintenance work of sectors G-13 and G-14 will be addressed and the left over work will be accelerated without any further delay.
The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary (H&W), Deputy Commissioner (Islamabad, Director General FGEHF, Managing Director National Construction Limited (NCL), Director (Sector Development, CDA), President Resident Welfare Society (G-13), affected allottees and other senior officials of the Ministry
