CDA to ensure hassle-free process for auction of plots - Salman - 11-18-2013 12:22 PM

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Nadeem Hassan Asif has said that in line with policies of fairness, openness and transparency of present government CDA will ensure that the auction process is hassle free.

He was talking to a delegation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which led by Saleem Saifullah Khan, visited the headquarters of Capital Development Authority (CDA) in connection with upcoming auction of commercial plots being held in Islamabad from November 18 to 20.

The delegation was briefed in detail about the commercial plots being offered for auction in conference room of CDA.

The visiting delegation was informed that CDA would auction 56 commercial plots which are located in busy business centres where all basic utilities including roads, electricity, parking, water, sewerage etc are available at sites.

The CDA chairman said that auction of these commercial plots would mark the beginning of a new era of development in the city.

To develop deep understanding among business community about auction of commercial plots, the board members including Member Planning Waseem Ahmed, Member Environment Ahsan Ali Mangi and Member Finance also visited Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Azad Kashmir Chamber Commerce and Industry (AKCCI) respectively, the Chairman added.

Saleem Saifullah on the occasion said the steps being taken by CDA to attract the investors for the upcoming auction of commercial plots are indeed encouraging. The business community has high hopes with Islamabad as future commercial hub and the business friendly and transparent polices by present CDA administration will further consolidate the confidence of the business community in Islamabad. He said the business community from KP would actively participate in the upcoming commercial plots auction.

A delegation of Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) also called on CDA Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif in his office. The delegation was led by ABAD president Arif Jeewa.

Talking to the delegation the CDA chairman said that construction activities have always led to economic growth and boom in commercial activities.
