CDA demolishes 350 illegal stalls at Mandi Morr - Salman - 07-19-2013 12:14 PM
Thursday, July 18, 2013 - Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority (CDA), in its ongoing operation against encroachments, demolished 350 stalls set up on green belts in Mandi Morr and other areas of the federal capital and confiscated their goods.
A team led by Deputy Director Enforcement Muhammad Iqbal, along with the officials of Environment wing, conducted the operation in Mandi Morr, Jaba Taili, Saidpur and other areas, demolishing more than 350 illegal stalls.
Meanwhile, the kiosks and stallholders alleged that the CDA officials demolished structures of those who refused to pay extortion money. They said that stalls of those, who filled the pockets of CDA officials, are still intact even on Mandi Morr. They said that they are being deprived of livelihood due to the highhandedness of the CDA officials.
