Sector G-7 to have food court

Islamabad : Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Farkhand Iqbal has said that the authority would refurbish the civic facilities in Sector G-7 and announced to construct a state of the art food court in the sector.

During his visit to different areas of G-7, the chairman said that revamping the civic facilities include reconstruction and repair of the foot paths, maintenance of cleanliness, provision of portable water and upgradation of the road infrastructure especially in the markets and improvements of streets in the residential areas.

Farkhand Iqbal said that cleanliness and better up keep of the city is our collective responsibility. He called upon the traders’ community to come forward and play an active role for improving the civic amenities in the city. He directed the CDA’s concerned formations to take concrete measures against dengue mosquitoes and all the fountains should be properly maintained. He said that fumigation must be carried out across the capital and awareness material must be distributed among the residents and displayed at busy crossings of the city. The chairman assured the traders of the sector of resolution of their issues on priority basis and also directed the upgradation of the nullah flowing through this sector.

He said that plan to run a decent public transport is in advance stage and facility would soon be available to the residents. He said that his team is striving hard for rapid development in the city and before-time completion of development projects would be ensured.

He said that plan to construct an exclusive powerhouse for capital has been conceived, which would pave the way for a loadshedding free Islamabad.
