‘MoF releases Rs 225bn for ongoing projects’
ISLAMABAD: An amount of Rs 225 billion has been released by the Ministry of Finance to complete the important ongoing projects.
This was stated by Minister for Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh during a meeting with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at the PM’s House on Tuesday.
The finance minister briefed the prime minister about the economic situation of the country and the next Annual Development Programme.
Shaikh also discussed various aspects of the forthcoming budget.
Separately, Investment Fund, New York President Perag Sexena called on the Gilani at the PM’s House.
Sexena discussed the investment opportunities in Pakistan in the sectors of telecommunication, education and health.
Gilani said that Pakistan offers excellent investment opportunities and an enabling environment for investors and indeed has emerged as the ‘investors’ choice’ so far as energy sector is concerned.
