MNA booked for ‘illegal’ occupation of plot

ISLAMABAD: Shalimar police have registered an FIR against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Anjum Aqeel Khan on the charge of occupying the plot of a citizen. Shalimar Police Station duty officer confirmed that they had registered FIR No 15 under Section 40 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the written complaint of a citizen Sabahat Ali. The duty officer said that Ali had alleged that Aqeel had occupied his plot No 834 in E-11, which he had purchased in 2002. When Daily Times contacted Awan, he said he had nothing to do with the occupation of the plot. Defending his position, the MNA said that if Sabahat Ali had any proof against him he should bring it to the court.
