LAHORE: In order to keep an eye on the supply of edible items, as well as the shortage of flour, the government has enlisted the help of the country’s intelligence agencies. According to sources, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and field staff from the Special Branch have started to prepare and send daily reports on the supply of necessities in Ramazan markets to their provincial headquarters. According to the reports sent by the IB and Special Branch, the government approved prices of fruits and vegetables have gone beyond the reach of the common man, however, sugar and ghee are still available at reasonable rates. The reports also said that due to the practice of people storing more flour than they need, as well as the delays in the delivery of trucks in some areas, people are faced with problems while purchasing flour. However, they added, with the help of district governments, the problem was being dealt with efficiently. aaj kal report
