LAHORE: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) is holding an exhibition of products, “Made in Gujranwala” on Tuesday at the Gujranwala Business Centre (GBC).

The project has been recently completed by SMEDA, in collaboration with the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). GBC has been established with the aim of providing a promotional and shared display facility for products produced by the Gujranwala industry, especially that of small and medium entrepreneurs.

From the total cost of Rs148.78 million, GCCI has shared Rs50 million in the form of land. The remaining cost amounting to Rs98.78 million has been met by government of Pakistan from the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) fund.

The funds were released through SMEDA, which played the basic role on behalf of government in completion of the centre under private-public partnership.

GBC has a total capacity of 130 stalls, 10x10 size, which have been made available to the manufacturers of Gujranwala to present and promote their products both locally and internationally.
