ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) was endeavouring to provide basic amenities to people particularly by improving conditions of markets, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi said here on Saturday.

According to a press statement, he was talking to the Fruit and Vegetable Market I-11’s delegation, which called on him under the leadership of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce President Zahid Maqbool.

“All future developmental projects would be executed in collaboration with the stakeholders particularly the traders,” he assured the delegation.

He said that upgrading of the roads’ infrastructure; provision of toilets at public places; development of parking areas; and improvements in the sewerage system of markets were being given top priority.

The chairman assured the traders that shortage of drinking water facilities at their market would be tackled by improving the condition of already installed tube-wells.
