ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi on Sunday issued orders for sending back Deputy Director Land Zahid Bhatti, posted on deputation, to his parent organisation.
“Deputy Director Zahid Bhatti, working on deputation in CDA since 2005, has been sent back to his parent organisation, Federal Board of Revenue, following charges of corruption levelled against him,” said CDA spokesman in a press release.
Bhatti was posted as deputy director in Land Directorate. Later he was transferred to Finance Wing, but, using political influence, he got himself re-deployed in the Land Directorate.
He said under the patronage of an Islamabad-based political activist, Bhatti also made bogus allotments of several plots in Sector I-11 and I-12 following the ‘package deal’ with land owners, causing a loss of millions of rupees to the CDA, it said. app
