Two women fought over the possession of a government quarter on the ninth floor of the Shaheed-e-Millat Secretariat outside the Estate Office here on Wednesday afternoon.
It was business as usual at the Estate Office when suddenly two women started a scuffle. They punched and slapped each other. A large number of staff members gathered at the scene.
Official sources said that the two women fought over government accommodation in Sector G-6/2 of Islamabad.
The two women were separated with great difficulty. They departed while threatening each other of dire consequences.
Joint Estate Officer Afzal Khan, when contacted by ‘The News,’ said that Quarter 85-C in Sector G-6/2 was the bone of contention between the two women. “One of them is a member of paramedical staff in a government hospital, while the other is a widow, who is currently occupying the quarter. The husband of the second women was a government employee and he died about three-and-a-half years back,” he said.
