Capital Development Authority (CDA) would repair and reconstruct all footpaths in different sectors of the federal capital.

An official of CDA told this agency that the concerned department has been working on the repairing and reconstruction of the footpaths in different sectors.

He said that in different sectors new footpaths would also be constructed to provide safe way to the pedestrian. He added that these footpaths would not only beautify the vicinity, but also provide safe way to the residents. The official said that CDA would also replace all the dilapidated footpaths, and would create more wide and safe footpaths for the residents as well as footpath users.

He said that CDA was well aware of the pedestrian problems and will introduce more citizen welfare projects to facilitate residents at their doorsteps.

He said that the repairing of the new footpaths would help reduce the public problems.

M. Akram, a resident of G-8, lauded the civic body for reconstruction and repairing of the footpaths in G-8, adding that it will decrease the people problems. He said that in some areas people parked their vehicles on footpaths, which creating problems for the pedestrian. He said that concerned authorities should stop such type of parking in different sectors.
