KARACHI: City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has announced that Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan held groundbreaking ceremony of Signal-free Corridor (SFC) IV on Saturday. City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal accompanied Khan.
The ceremony was held to launch the construction work on four out of eight flyovers of the SFC-IV, namely Mehran Inter-Change around Hotel Mehran, Regent Plaza flyover, Chanesar Halt flyover and a flyover in front of Pakistan Air Force Chapter.
The entire phase of these four flyovers would cost Rs 995 million, while the remaining flyovers, namely Malir No 15, Malir Kala Board and Jinnah International Airport, would cost Rs 900 million.
Sindh government has allocated 75 percent of the total cost, while the CDGK would contribute the rest. irfan aligi
