LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a report from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general (DG) and also summoned the Land Acquisition Collectorate (LAC) director by October 19, on a contempt petition moved by a citizen Merajdin.
The petitioner claimed he had been denied possession of his plot for the last 57 years. The petitioner’s counsel, Ijaz Awan, submitted that Merajdin was allotted a plot measuring six marlas in Gulberg in 1952 to compensate him for his land acquired by the government. He said the petitioner had been contesting legal battle for the last 57 years.
