University of Karachi (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Pirzada Qasim has formed a committee to would check and avert the land mafia from encroaching upon the university lands.
The committee will be led by Dr Nasiruddin, while Dr Junaid Sagheer Siddiqui as will serve as a member on the committee. KU Registrar Prof. Rais Alvi, campus security advisor and the planning director will be the ex-officio members. The committee will also evaluate the reasons for late legal action, and other steps taken by the authorities.
Meanwhile the KU has announced that it remain closed on September 18 for Shab-e-Qadr and from September 21-23 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr.
SSUET: Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) will also be closed on September 18 and from September 19 to 22 on account of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr.
