ISLAMABAD: As the Eidul Fitr is drawing nearer, makeshift stallholders and shops carrying special Eid shopping items have started making inroads into different markets of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

To attract maximum number of buyers, these stalls and shops offer a variety of garments, shoes, jewellery, cosmetics, handbags and other items.

All the markets and shopping malls are festively decorated and are filled with goods to attract the buyers. This time too, many shopkeepers have set up stalls in the main markets like Super, Jinnah Super, Aabpara and Karachi Company markets.

“I set up this stall during Ramazan like the last year but this time the costumers response is very poor. Nonetheless, I hope that it will go up during the last days of Ramazan when the employees would get Eid salaries in advance,” said Zafran, a stallholder at Aabpara Market.

Rashid Nawaz, another stallholder at Super Market, said that he was hopeful that his business would gain momentum in the last days of Ramazan. app
