ISLAMABAD: The dissolution of Islamabad High Court (IHC) after July 31 judgment of the Supreme Court (SC) has impacted ambitious Judicial Colony project.
The project was initiated some months back and the colony’s layout was completed by Pak-PWD after a site was identified by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Payment for the land was to be made by the Ministry for Law and Justice.
The site covering an area of 24 kanals of land in Sector G-11/1 would have facilities like court rooms, bar, mosque and rooms for law officers, a former official of defunct IHC told APP.
Though efforts are afoot to re-establish the IHC fate of the project remains uncertain. app
