LAHORE: On the direction of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, crackdown on sugar hoarders continued on Saturday and 55,000 sugar bags were seized from different cities of the province.
LALAMUSA: The Sadar police booked five traders for hoarding 17,000 sugar bags.
HAFIZABAD: The district administration seized 2,405 sacks of sugar from various areas of the district and many godowns have been sealed.
KASUR: Five godowns have been sealed and about 2,000 sugar bags have been recovered from Kasur.
NANKANA SAHIB: Police have seized 2,058 sugar bags from different places which were illegally stored.
GUJRANWALA: The DCO has recovered illegal stock of sugar comprising 6000 sacks. Price control magistrates have intensified raids to book profiteers.
RAWALPINDI: The Rawal-pindi administration recovered at least 10,000 sugar bags hoarded illegally
