ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday appointed Syed Naveed Qamar federal minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, relieving former petroleum adviser Dr Asim Hussain of the charge. While the announcement issued by the Prime Minister’s House did not say what portfolio Dr Asim would be taking up next, sources claim he is a contender for the post of Sindh governor, a possibility already reported by Daily Times.
