The death toll in city police encounters since May 8 has reached 19.
* Two ‘criminals’ were killed in an ‘encounter’ on May 10.
* On May 12, Sabzazar police killed one Nasir in an ‘encounter’ and on May 17 two ‘robbers’ were killed.
* On May 20, the Iqbal Town CIA in Badami Bagh police precincts killed one Zulfiqar Masih.
* On June 9, Cantonment CIA killed Nematullah, son of Abdul Majeed, and Kamran Butt. On June 10, Sattokatla police killed one Zeeshan on suspicion of attack, but he was found to be unarmed afterwards. According to reports, he had been on his way to the police station to register a complaint.

* On July 1, Nawankot CIA killed four ‘robbers’ in an ‘encounter’ in Hanjarwal police area.
