ISLAMABAD: The World Bank has approved the proposed expansion of Tarbela Dam.
According to a private TV channel, the WB has suggested that the Pakistan government consult international firms for work on the dam. The paperwork of the project would be completed within a year.
The channel, quoting Water and Power Development Authority sources, said the project, expected to be completed in four years, would cost around $0.8 billion and provide an additional 960 megawatts of electricity. app
