The residents of Satellite Town, Rawalpindi have appreciated Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s decision to launch crackdown against the land mafia throughout the province.
The residents of F-Block, Satellite Town have asked the Special Cell, formed at the Chief Minister Secretariat for eliminating land mafia, to get free the 50-year-old Chinar Park from the clutches of illegal occupants.
The land mafia has placed armed men at the public park’s premises and started construction work at a rapid pace.
Recently the construction work was stopped by the local administration, but at least half a dozen armed men still occupy the children park. They remain in the park round the clock and threaten the local residents including children.
