ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and Capital Development Authority (CDA) have decided to construct a fruit and vegetable market in Rawat, said ICT Rural Areas Assistant Commissioner Aasia Gul.
She said about 200 stalls would be set up at the market to be constructed along Itihad Road. The assistant commissioner said 200 kanals would be acquired from Pakistan Army to set up the market that would facilitate growing number of frit sellers and vendors.
Encroachments in the area have not been removed despite several attempts, she said, adding, a mosque will also be built on premises of the market. online
