LAHORE

HUNDREDS of complainants on Friday approached the open court of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general at Johar Town.

LDA DG Omer Rasul remained at the open court until 4pm and passed orders on complainants’ applications. Majority of complaints were about transfer of plots and approval of building plans.

On the directives of the LDA DG, the staff of the Lahore Development Authority receives applications until 1pm at the One Window Cell. People are advised to approach the One Window Cell instead of visiting officials concerned individually. They are not allowed to enter the main building of the office. They could now come to One Window Cell only where proper sitting arrangement have been made for them besides installation of air conditioners at this building. On the instructions of the DG, a project to link all LDA offices through computer networking has commenced. After the execution of this project, the movement and tracking of applications and files will be carried out through computer. Applications will be forwarded to directors concerned through the network and reports of actions taken on them will also be received through this medium.
