Father’s day will be celebrated across the country on June 21 for expressing love and affection to the fathers and thank them for their life long contribution in upbringing their children.

Fathers Day is one of the special day when people irrespective of their ages honour their fathers for playing crucial role in their development as dignified citizens. Father’s day in Pakistan might not be celebrated at a larger scale as in the rest of the world but the spirits are catching up. The electronic media is widely projecting the importance of the day through presenting different plays and discussion programmes.

The day is also celebrated in the schools where students through different means convey their feelings to their fathers. “Father’s Day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honour our fathers, but all men who have acted as a father figure in life whether as stepfathers, uncles, grandfathers, or big brothers’, said a student.

Father’s day provides opportunity not only to celebrate the existence of the relation of father but thank and cherish for all the best in the world, he added.
