Majority of all Pakistanis (56 per cent) enjoy some leisure time while 36 per cent claim to have no free time and only seven per cent have a lot of time to spare.
According to a Gilani Research Foundation survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were asked, “How much leisure time do you have?”
Majority (56 per cent) of the respondents claimed to have little free time with only seven per cent saying they have a lot of free time while 36 per cent of the respondents claimed to have no time for leisure.
The data shows that urbanites get more free time as compared to their counterparts in rural areas. Amongst various activities, watching television was preferred by 40 per cent, followed by meeting friends (24 per cent), doing some other activity (15 per cent), resting or sleeping (13 per cent), and going for outings (3 per cent).
